Its been quite a while since Ive turned a chip-n-dip platter, so its good to be making one again. This is a beautiful piece of ambrosia maple with some lovely birdseye and lots of character. Ive rough turned the piece and its now soaking in a denatured alcohol bath. Ill be fitting it with a little glass bowl so that your favorite salsa or dip of choice wont stain the wood.
Only four weeks till its dry enough to finish. I cant wait!
